I program offline. I have an issue that when I open my programs on the cmm's, my clearplanes and movepoints change, sometimes by many inches! I've actually had it occur on existing programs we've run a hundred times. Has anyone else experienced this? It's a pretty regular occurrence for us.
I can confirm this issue and see this problem all the time. It's baffling that only move points and clearance planes are affected.
A workaround: change every field of every move point and clearance plane definitions to formulas. For example, change MOVE/POINT,NORMAL,<0,0,100> to MOVE/POINT,NORMAL,<0+0,0+0,100+0>. You just can't do this when you want to paste with pattern.
Again, I program offline all the time and have been for 7 or 8 years. Never an issue unless I mess with alignments or my alignment isn't solid.
Kai Kendall I am not saying that at all. There are many programmers on here, past and present, who program offline and transfer over to their online systems that have no issues. No one should have to lock down move points. The only thing I can tie it down to is either computer permissions, alignment issues, or stopping mid-run to make an adjustment and messing with the alignment features. It's not a PC-DMIS issue.
