MINMAX Reporting issue while used with Surface Profile...

Hello Fellow PCD Users,

We have an issue while reporting a surface profile using MINMAX for formatting. During offline simulation the report looks correct and shows the surface profile correctly with a MIN/MAX in the report, but when run on the CMM the report shows the surface profile as a typical +/- TOL. See below.

How it should look in the report...

But it seems as if it reports like this.

Is there a setting on the CMM in the PC-DMIS software that would cause this? This only seems to effect two part numbers out of about 12. Normally we wouldn't worry that much about this but it is messing with our automatic data collection and analysis. Even our PCD Guru is stumped.

We are using PC-DMIS 2018R1
(Soon to be 2022R1)

  • Do you have a FORMAT/TEXT before FCFPROF65 that sets it up that way?

I have also seen PC-DMIS show it correctly in the report window, but when it shoots out the PDF, it gets all messed up. At that point, I uninstall and reinstall the PDF drivers. That usually fixes it. To add, I have seen reporting mess up with GD&T inside loops.

Are you at the latest SP?
  • Yes, the FORMAT/TEXT, OPTIONS, , HEADINGS,SYMBOLS, ;NOM,TOL,MEAS,DEV,OUTTOL, , is just before the FCFPROF65. We'll have to look into the PDF drivers. We aren't any loops in the program. Unfortunately our company has only authorized 2018R1, so no SPs, although we are told 2022R1 will be authorized shortly.
