Alignment DEF

How would you go about creating the alignment for DEF? I am leveling Datum D and rotating E2 to E3 xplus. How would you origin E2 and E3? Would you create a point between them and origin that point in the X and Z?

  • Well, there's the definition of the datums:

Datum targets are used, in an unconventional way though. Normally, all datum targets named as "E(number)" should be used to create datum E, but your drawing seems to throw that out of the window.

Anyway, the balloons along with the definitions should be able to tell you how the datums shall be created. For example, datum E is a line between the centerpoints of E2 and E3.
It looks like there are more explanations (not visible in the snippet).

You should measure E2 and E3 as holes.
