Cylindrical recalculations within FCF

PCDMIS 2022.1 seems to re-calculate cylinders differently from legacy dimensions. Why? These can't both possibly be correct.

Yes, everything is maximum inscribed etc.

Yes, datums are correct, and confirmed within program.

Yes, my defaults are set correctly.

Yes, I understand what maximum inscribed means.

You need to watch the webinars that were made available when we released the geometric tolerance command: https://web.archive.org/web/20201106014718/https:/www.hexagonmi.com/about-us/events/accelerate-webinars/na-gdt-standards-whats-changing-why-and-how-to-deal-with-it

It is also detailed in the help : http://file:///C:/Program%20Files/Hexagon/PC-DMIS%202023.1%2064-bit%20English%20Help/pcdmis/2023.1/en/helpcenter/index.htm#t=mergedProjects%2Fcore%2Fgeometric_tolerances%2FHow_PC-DMIS_Solves_Datums.htm&rhsearch=geometric&rhsyns=%20

Legacy dimensioning and XactMeasure feature control frame commands used the pre-resolved feature - meaning if you measured a feature using least squares, that is what the evaluation was based on. The only exception was if your were reporting a form tolerance using XactMeasure. In those cases, the features were recalculated using Min_Sep (Chebyshev). As the help files and webinars explain, the geometric tolerance command takes the hits from the features (and datums) and recalculates based on the math type(s) you have selected. If you select DEFAULT then it will use the applicable math for the standard you are reporting to - if the standard is ASME then the math is constrained L2, if the standard is ISO then it is constrained min/max (Chebyshev)

I don't think anyone is saying it's a stupid question. However, you try and argue that PCD is wrong over and over.
