Hello PC-DMIS family,
I am new to this software, I am having problem with Optics probe, i have followed the instruction to calibrate my cmm-v probe and it worked just fine, but when i run my approved program, my fixture alignment running fine as well my part alignment but as soon i change my probe to optic, my xyz just goes out the window and i get the off limit error. What do i do to correlate my optic alignment with my machine or tectile probes.
On a vision machine the optics are considered the primary sensor, so you would first calibrate those on a ring gauge (there's a calibrate probe offset option).
Follow the prompts and say Yes tool has moved.
Next calibrate your Master tactile probe (a straight stylus, usually short and stiff) - Select Man+DCC on the screen where you specify number of hits etc. Also make sure you select the ring gauge Tool.
When prompted, say No, tool has not moved, this will calibrate the probe in relation to the optics.
After that you can use that probe to teach the reference sphere location (calibrate and say Yes tool has moved), then any other probes/tips calibrate on the sphere and say No sphere has not moved.
Question, am i putting the CMMV first calibrating on ring gage? then using my tactile to locate the ring and calibrate that, i thought my tactile should go to to center of the ring since my tool has not moved? but it did not i still have to click on 6 o clock to get the ring location? am i doing anything wrong?
NinjaBadger : He's using a CMMV, so it's not a vision machine...
Waslam828 : First, calibrate the master probe (tactile) on the sphere, then calibrate the ring saying "yes, the tool moved", then load the cmmv, and calibrate it man+dcc saying "No", it should work.
Take a look to the offsets in the probe window, there shouldn't be to large on X and Y.
