I've been tasked with seeing what's involved in upgrading from 2017 R2 to 2022 Latest version. We have thousands of programs. Is there an easy way to bring them up to date? ie. bat file or some fancy conversion software. Validation requirements? Anything else I may run into?
We had an upgrade to 2021 R1 but it was a headache with constant unexplainable errors, crashes & bugs. We spent more time with Hexagon support than running the machine. Finally we downgraded to 2020 R2 & it is better but still has issues here & there. QA manager wasn't happy (to say it nicely). Contrast this to 2016 CAD version we have at the 20 year old B&S One CMM. Rock solid. We had maybe 5 software crashes in 2 years. We barely use Xact anyway; 99% is Legacy.
