I have a program with a lot of dimensions, and in the end, I put a code to export to excel with excel form, it works well when I execute all program from the beginning to the end. After, if I need to run again one or two features only, when I am exporting data, Pc dmis only saves last features executed and export them only. It should export everything and consider all dimensions, and not the last executed.
One solution would be to put all dimensions in the end, but in some cases, it isn't a practical solution.
1 solution style:
Report only outputs for as you measure through the program.
then
Stat only outputs, at the end of your program, that mimic your in program outputs, so that way you can just execute the outputs only to have them load into your form.
Alternate solution:
Basic scripting:
Make a csv file and then have your excel form populate based on the csv data
or
Have the script grab all your data and load it into the form directly.
Lastly:
Allow the form to be manually updateable if you have to re-run a feature or two so a user can correct the appropriate value(s).
Hi,
For to do the first solution, I have to create the dimensions twice? what are you saying is when I am creating the dimensions, choose "report" or "statistics, for standard I have selected "both".
Both means it will show up on report and be enabled to go to statistics. If you duplicate the outputs, then you don't want the duplication to appear in your excel file. So create 1 output set with the setting as 'Report', for while executing, and the second grouped outputs to 'Stats' to populate your Excel form.
Now if you re-run a feature after the full run, you can simply execute from above the stat only outputs to populate the Excel form.
No, it's not a 'simple' solution but it would do what you are looking to accomplish.
Hi,
Do I understand that correctly?
Your dimension commands are distributed in the measurement program and you have problems running everything again because they are difficult to select?
if that's true, then try mini routines, you can use them to summarize all dimension commands, no matter where they are in the measurement program
Hi,
With mini routines, when I have selected the dimensions and do execute, the cmm machine runs the program for those dimensions, and it isn't the idea. In this case I run all from the begin.
The idea would be only run the dimensions with mini routines without move the cmm machine. Anyway, I cannot understand well, or I am doing something wrong.
