not creating second point

I am programing a part offline. and got partially through it. now for some reason it will not create a second point after I create one. when you click on the cad it just changes color.

running 2017 r2 service pack 12

Do you have the auto feature point dialogue still open after the first point?

Could it be the "during" of the click ? (parameter in windows, I think, but I'm not sure)
