So I realized I've been doing MMC on a slot (using legacy) wrong for a few months...lol...
Here's what I have been doing:
Probing planes on each side of the slot,
Creating a width using the 2 planes,
Constructing a circle using "Auto" (so it becomes a Cast circle...)
Then dimensioning the position of the circle in the relevant axis using MMC: inputting the slot tolerances into the diameter size in the dimension.
I forget how to do it correctly. Generic circle, right? I wonder how messed up my results have been. A quick test shows only a few tenths difference between the methods. Any input? Should I fix all of these mistakes?
Cast circle constructed on the width - I think that will be okay - as long as you say it's correctly inside or outside - it should cast as inside diameter for an inside width and an outside diameter for an outside slot - so I think you are okay
This seems like the easier way to do it so I may just continue doing it this way haha. Visually it looks weird in the graphics display because it creates the circle with the wrong vector/workplane. But it works!
