How do you go about creating a width, for a position callout, on a surface with draft present. When creating a width the features must have opposing surface vectors however, when a feature has draft the CAD nominal vectors are not perfectly opposed. Normally I would create a midpoint between the surfaces and report the position of that point but when MMC is applied it wont calculate bonus tolerance. Are there any solutions for this?
Construct auto features for both planes, after you create them just change your THEO to a perfect vector surface, that will allow you to make a width then you can position it.
Not really, depending on the amount of draft, it would throw the fitting off because PC-DMIS would be trying to create the material boundary based on the planes being parallel to each other.
