Our Zeiss G2 with an articulating head has gone down and we need to program some parts with our PCDMIS but its always had some issues since we are not able to run as administrators.
I've been having issues with calibrating multiple angles. I noticed some probes and angles were shifted .020" on the Y and .010" on the X. I have calibrated and used my calibration sphere to see how much my XYZ 0's are off at multiple angles with different probes. I noticed my probe files folder is read only and only admin has complete access to write over the files, I noticed the same thing with the folder where my calibration sphere and rack are located as well. (tool.dat & toolc.dat) I have asked IT to give me permission to be able to change those files. The only other thing I can think that is giving me these issues is the probe head is off center and going bad. Any help would be appreciated.
You MUST be able to read/write to the PROBE folder, if not, then the calibration data is NOT saved and is NOT used, and you will never get any good data.
