Every time I create a laser program and close and reopen it, something happens to the file and I can't open it causing me to completely redo the program and lose all my work. When I try to open the program I get the first message I attached of the "bad archive", then it will pop up with the message asking me to open the backup file and this does not work either. The only way I can use the laser and measure parts effectively is if I create the program and run the parts all in one day and basically just create a new program every time I need to measure the parts. I have filtering on so the COP size is dropped down significantly. Are the file types too big for PC-DMIS to open, I notice any laser scan program is significantly larger which makes sense because of how many points are being collected.
dont try to rename the .prg files or any of pcdmis files within windows explorer. It will corrupt it and give an error like you are seeing. always create, save, or saves as within in pcdmis.
has for me... not sure why you cant tho?
i just avoid doing it all together, if i want to rename the program ill just save as the new description and delete the one i didnt want from within pcdmis
