Error when trying to calibrate probe with extensions

Hey all,
I'm trying to calibrate a probe at a length we don't typically use, and it won't calibrate. It's like pc dmis thinks it's too long. When calibrating A0B0 it will take the first hits correct, then go down further in the Z- direction and starts hitting the shank of the 2 by 40 probe. Then finishes and gives me an error. The probe I'm trying to calibrate is...

>converttoM2
>60mmext
>20mmext
>2mmx40tip
total length being 120mm, not counting the convert to M2 piece. Any tips?

  • is it a TP20/200? If so it's probably too long.

If not trust me on this, but double check that you have the actual correct lengths. I mean like triple check and make sure you actually have 20+60+40x2mm total length in extensions.

If you're all good and it still doesn't work, then restart the machine, HOME it, use a short probe and calibrate that, then try again using the longer probe.
  • Its a leitz lspx1h puck. analog. I did the reboot and rebuilt the probe again. and still same issue. Ill try the short probe cal then longer probe cal thing and see if that works.

    Nada. and i have a m3 to m2 ext
    60mmext
    20 mmext
    and a 2mm by 40mm probe.
