As the title states, I'm trying to save a 2022.2 program to PCDMIS 3.5 (3.4 in case they have issues loading the 3.5). From my end, PCDMIS is only letting me save back to 2017R1. I tried saving to 2017R1, loading that save, and going earlier, but to no avail.
Could you save your program from 2022.0 SP2 to v2017R1 then open it in v2017R1 and save it futher back from there? I just tried saving back to v2016.0 from v2022.1 and could open it just fine from v2016.0 and then I could save it farther back from there (v3.5), but I cant open it because v2016.0 is the oldest version on my PC.
I'm fairly sure the OP mentioned that he tried that, don't believe this is possible, as per Neil's link.
That would be my guess as well, as I have done exactly that...
In 2022, do a "save as" to a 2017 .prg, then open it in 2017 (I downloaded and used 2018) open the 2017 .prg version, and from there you can save it back to as far back as you need to. (I used these exact steps to go back to 3.2.) However, they may run into features that you used to program with in 2022, that were not available in the 3.4 version, and the program will not work for them.
I can guarantee this will work, Friday I saved a program in 2019MR1 from 2022. I then opened 2019 on an older machine, opened the program IN 2019 and saved as 2009 (not that far from 3.5, and 3.5 was in the list of options).
I emailed the program to someone still running 2009, and they opened it without issue.
Caveat being that the GD&T from GeoTol did NOT copy as XactMeasure, it saved as comments and I had to put the 3 GD&T reportings back in the program while in 2019.
Nothing to be done for that, but DeWain is 100% on this.
yes because i think 2017 was the last year for 32bit systems i believe. 2018 is when they got rid of the WAI folder and migrated to 64 bit unless im mistaken...
