Is it possible in an offline seat of PC-DIMS, to slow down the execution speed of the virtual CMM? I a line machine you can alter the move speed and the measure speed, and depending on the controller, you would can also slow the machine down with the rheostat to slow the motion to a point that you can investigate any move or touch. On my offline seat, the simulation in PC-DMIS (2023.1 Release) runs at full speed. I can single step thru a program, my problem is that I want to confirm the motion in between point measurements inside a feature. Thanks for the help.
Thanks Darroll for the reply. I have taken the speeds in the user preferences all the way down to 0.001 mm/sec and there is no change during the simulated execution.
You need to go to EDIT>PREFERENCES>SETUP OPTIONS and click on the ANIMATION tab...
As you can see, there is a "max animation speed" and an "animation speed" slider which works similar to the feed knob on the CMM jogbox. We are adding this animation speed slider to the offline execution dialog in PC-DMIS 2023.2. It is scheduled to release around the middle of August or you can sign up for the tech preview (
