"extract from memory"

Does PCDmis have the ability to extract all points collected from a continuous contact scan for individual features to be constructed? A supplier has informed me that they use Mcosmos to do a scan and then extract the points using a function called "extract from memory" and construct dimensional features from that. i know PCDmis can generate a TP scan but that would be to time consuming for my application.

  • neil.challinor I am relatively new to analog scanning and have not played around with it much in this respect, but let's say I have a linear closed/open scan that goes around the part that has many contours. In theory, if I wanted to pull the radius dimension out of the scan, I should be able to construct one from .HIT[250...265]. However, won't filtering from part to part affect this hit count? Or will it be consistent? Is there a way around this if I have a customer that wants to see the basic dimensions?
