If you are splitting hairs, or producing a sustained method of measure that will support a production line for years to come, measuring with minimal probes and probe wrist rotations will result in higher reproducibility.
if you don't need sub 0.0005" repeatability, and/or you are running low product volume checks, nah. it doesn't matter whatsoever.
