PC-DMIS cannot find network drives after program crash

PC-DMIS 2023.1

After PC-DMIS crashed today, it was unable to see the network drives that it had seen pre-crash. All network drives are mapped to off-site server and are visible to Windows Explorer, so the mapped connections are still live. Programs, reports and probe files are located on the network...nothing important.

Anyone ever see this before and have an idea how to make PC-DMIS recognize the mapped connections? Before anyone asks, PC-DMIS has been restarted, as well as the PC itself.

  • With PC-DMIS in Online mode, click on Edit at the top of the Home Page. Click on "Set Search Path", Click on the "Search for" drop-down and select "Default Measurement Routine Directory" and navigate to where the CMM programs are and click on the folder name - It will display at the bottom of the window. Click on "Select Folder". Make sure the "Select current directory" box is unchecked. Click "Apply" and "OK"

Tried that, but the mapped drives are not showing up in the drive list. In other words, Explorer (the Windows file system) sees drives C: and D: (local to the PC) and network drives E: and F:. PC-DMIS only sees drives C: and D:...no E: and F:.
  • Click on the "File Explorer" icon and all of the available drives will be displayed. If your E: and F: drives are there and have a red X, click on the X and connection should be restored. If not, contact your IT guy.
