hello, im trying to find the best way to measure this entire slot and use it as a datum. because there are flats on both sides of the slot i can't find an auto feature that will allow me to completely measure all 4 radii' and all four flats. i would normally just measure each segment of the slot separately if it wasn't the datum. im hoping there is a setting I'm missing to establish a width/length of each flat. thank you.
Auto slot only measures the radii and assumes good form and that the sides are tangent. Don't measure slots that way. I break it up into 4 components, measure the radii, find the midpoint, then look for the sides there (either with formula or local alignment). Sides are the only functional part of a 2-way slot.
