Changing results on Non-Legacy Reporting and Dimensions

Hello all,

I am currently fronting a change within the inspection department to switch from the old style and method of reporting (Legacy Dimensions) To the new GD&T tolerancing and have the following question

On the old method if a change was needed (I.E if something was a micron out of spec but was manual checked and was deemed to be okay) changing the report for customer was no problem however in this new way if something is a micron out of tolerance I am currently unable to easily change the dimension to come in.

Does anyone know of why this is and if so is there a way around it? as this currently is the biggest reason as to why we cant use the new method full time as of yet

Thanks in advance

I use PCDMIS2023.1

  • Check the "Warnings" in the F5 settings so you haven't selected "No" to update dimensions and checked that answer as default.

Also, make sure you have selected "active alignment" in the GeoTol report settings otherwise it will report according to the datum sequence which might not reflect what you are expecting to see on the report.
  • Hello, All checked over and nothing was selected in the update dimensions, also I have tried switching between the default and the active alignment and even then if i manual change anything within the dimension it doesn't update back at the report unless I re-run it and re-measure it. its almost like as soon as its measured unless measured again it locks the feature size in to not be altered.
