Not seeing bonus

Good Morning All,
I'm stumped on why the bonus from cylinder 3 and cylinder 4 shows up in FCFLOC1 Size but is not applied in FCFLOC Position?
The only bonus I'm getting is from cylinder 5
Cylinders 3 and 4 are on the same axis and cylinder 5 is perpendicular to 3 and 4.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

  • When I look in the position portion on the FCF I see a deviation of .0067 for cylinder 5
Then when I take away the .0021 bonus for the feature itself I'm now down to .0046
    I also get .0009 bonus from Datum A cyl 3 and .0008 from Datum B cyl 4
If I take away the .0009 and .0008 from the remaining .0046 then my true position value that I report to my customer should be .0029
Is my understanding of this correct?

  • Not correct. Datum shift is not bonus. It is, essentially, wiggle-room you would get from a hard gage from having datums that are different sizes from nominal. The datum shift permitted allows the target to move within the wiggle-room. How much it has moved is shown on your report as "FCFLOC1 Datum Shift". You can see there how much the target has been allowed to move and rotate. Bonus tolerance only comes from the feature of size that you are measuring for location. I would report to the customer :

    Nominal TP 0.0000
    Permitted TP 0.0021
    Actual TP 0.0067 (OOT)
