We recently turned on our Hexagon CMM for the first time since the service tech set it up.
My colleague and I attended the virtual CMM 101 class and thought we were ready to go.
We ended up getting hung up pretty early. Upon start up, PCDMIS gave an error that said the motors were not operational. Turns out, we had to hold the machine start button on the jog box, something that was not covered in start up section of the class or materials.
Next, the machine found its home position. We created a new probe assembly and tried to calibrate the tip.
We selected manual+DCC mode and screwed down the qualifying sphere. PCDMIS then prompted us to take a hit on the sphere, but the jog box will not do anything.
I know it's connected because I was able to use the speed dial to change the speed during the homing process.
Is there another step we're missing?
