Cylinder to Plane No Radius Option Different Results

So I have a cylinder with a vector facing the Y axis and a plane facing Z plus. Xplus workplane. When I dimension they distance of the cylinder to the plane I get a deviation of 0.0012". When I dimension the same features but with no radius op tion by deviation is 0.0000". Why do they not match?

  • Is it reasonable to dimension the distance between a cylinder and a plane ?
The dimension is the distance between the centroid of the cylinder and the plane, along the vector plane.
There is no reason that the plane and the cylinder axis are perfectly parallel, so if you change cylinder hit ,you change the centroid then the distance changes also !
