Constructing a circle at a certain diameter on a cone

The print that I am working from calls for the distance between two diameters (circles) that are on two separate cone features. I know how to construct a circle on a cone at a known distance, but how do I construct a circle at a certain diameter on a cone?

Parents
  • Measure an autofeature-cone
Then, construct your diameters on the cone
Then, construct a point at the center of each diameter
Then, switch to the correct workplane & insert a distance dimension from point to point
  • Hi Dan, we recently had a dimension for the distance radially between 2 spheres sharing the same origin point, and only thing we could think of at the time was to create an alignment line, then construct pierce points where that line pierces each of the spheres, and report the distance between those 2 points.

Is there a better way of thinking for constructing center points of features? Any tips would be appreciated!
