Probe build

Still a newbie to all this but I was proficient with our old 1808 without servos. I still use an old Bendix 1000 with ridged probes for reference (you all can chuckle now). Issue I'm having is that when I try to build a new probe, there's nothing in the drop down box. When I delete the probe file and try to type in a new probe, everything in the probe description becomes blank. I actually had to take a picture with my phone as it wouldn't let me take a screen shot. Below that, the options that are given are not what I need and I cannot override/enter what I want. Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Hi-Tech Redneck....yes. If you have a moment, open the second picture on my first post and that is what I get. Wouldn't let me do a screen shot so I had to take a pic with my phone.
  • It's my understanding when building probes, the available selections are based on connection type and the options will only be components compatible with that connection. For example, my first connection is the Tesastar-sm motorized head. Once I select that, then I see probe modules compatible with that motorized head. And once the probe is selected, I see probe holders, etc, etc.
None of your options look like a head to me, but I don't know all there is to know about CMM head options.
What does your other probe builds look like?
