Looping Alignments

Old Zeiss guy here... I know, I know... anyway...

We used to "loop" our alignments to a measured "break condition" before running our programs (this was to ensure the mathematical skew of the part after on alignment loop had compensated the proper amount and direction for the misalignment of the part on the fixture.)

Is there any way to do that in PC_DMIS?

but iterative alignment works only with points ? points not allways are enouf
in calypso it can work with entire elements like lines planes also made of few other elemnts.

i usually used to measure the same things few times here

PC-DMIS can use other features, besides points, for iterative alignments but there are certain rules that must be followed - see here: PC-DMIS Help Center - 2023.1 (hexagonmi.com)

Where the rules prevent you from iterating more complex alignments, it is still possible to handle the "looping" yourself.
