I've tried to implement this into my factor with not a great amount of success,
Can you post some snippets of setting up the parameter please incase I am missing something.
Do you still need some help with creating a parameter with visual aid? There isn't much to the set itself, and you only create 1 per probe file. All with the same parameter set name. As seen below, my Parameter set test I just named it "AUTOSET".
Hi William,
Yes so ive tried to do what you set out below however im still running into issues, it will only pick one angle out and calibrate that one angle
Could you possibly show me your parameter set window? I'll take a screenshot of mine now.
Are you adding an autocalibrate command into your program like here?
AUTOCALIBRATE/PROBE, PARAMETER_SET=AUTOSET, QUALTOOL_MOVED=YES_DCC, CHECK COLLISION=NO, SHOW_SUMMARY=NO, OVERWRITE_RESULTSFILE=YES
Yes, I've used it as a per part before creating a new parameter each time as seen below
LOADPROBE/LEITZ TREE 07 18 MM_DISC TIP/T1A0B0, SHANKIJK=-0.0001, -0.001, 1, ANGLE=0.7082 AUTOCALIBRATE/PROBE, PARAMETER_SET=455-011.001-007 Op 4, QUALTOOL_MOVED=NO, CHECK COLLISION=NO, SHOW_SUMMARY=NO, OVERWRITE_RESULTSFILE=NO MOVE/CLEARPOINT LOADPROBE/LEITZ TREE 03 03X35 TIP/T1A0B0, SHANKIJK=-0.0001, -0.001, 1, ANGLE=0.7082 AUTOCALIBRATE/PROBE, PARAMETER_SET=455-011.001-007 Op 4, QUALTOOL_MOVED=NO, CHECK COLLISION=NO, SHOW_SUMMARY=NO, OVERWRITE_RESULTSFILE=NO MOVE/CLEARPOINT LOADPROBE/LEITZ TREE 02 2X50 TIP/T1A0B0, SHANKIJK=-0.0001, -0.001, 1, ANGLE=0.7082 AUTOCALIBRATE/PROBE, PARAMETER_SET=455-011.001-007 Op 4, QUALTOOL_MOVED=NO, CHECK COLLISION=NO, SHOW_SUMMARY=NO, OVERWRITE_RESULTSFILE=NO MOVE/CLEARPOINT
Here is my autocalibrate running. 5 angles in program.
Does it work for just 1 of those tips?
And you are making a new set for each unique probe build?

Yes so my autocalibration does multiple tips as I used to set it up per part like so
This then would run through (For instance one program each probe has 13 angles and has 5 probes and it will do it all no worries) but if i try to set it up like you have it only ever picks the one probe angle
Interesting. You selecting ALL makes it run? What version of PC-DMIS are you in? I don't know that it matters, but I use 2021.2.
Also I do it per probe build, not per part basis.
2023.2, so when I've usually set up this is how i used to do it by using mark used however if I leave it blank and then select used in routine it doesn't select any angles other than the one.
Thats what im trying to move to now
I am not 100% sure if this helps. But here is my screen.
Do you do anything else before getting to this menu?
All I do is F9 my probe, click measure, then modify the window above to be "Used in Routine". I also do DCC+DCC. I see you just do DCC. Not sure if that even matters either.
Just went downstairs to the CMM and had a look and still cant seem to get it to work.

This is the code that is used to implement autocalibration currently into programs, and from there we would create a parameter based on the part, however I'm hoping to get this new way you found of doing it to work so it can go into every program we do.
Okay so from the measure window go to your parameter set dropdown, and select your created set, and hit measure. Does it show your tips being selected? I made a new probe build with few tip angles so I can see this in action.
Before hitting measure with parameter set selected.
After hitting measure with parameter set selected.
