How to get measured circle Theo from CAD ?

Hello all

I was assigned to measure a wire weeks ago, I could not get progress until last week I got a similar program , and I tried to understand what the gentle did. The program used manual mode to measure a cylinder , then tried to measure a measured circle, followed by DCC model. When I tried to get the measured the circle, I could not get what the program got from CAD model, I tried to construct a cylinder and cut with Y=-20.304, but the circle I got was different from CIR2. I uploaded the picture of the program, please kindly help.

Thank you

  • I don't understand what your trying to say. The actuals look very similar to me.

I worked on tubing a few years ago so have some experience of them. Without seeing the drawing to see what datums you have i cannot be a lot of help.

My advice is lay a ruler against the component and mark the component where the cylinder starts to distort due to the bend. Measure your cylinders within these marked areas so that you know that you are not encroaching on to the deformed area.

create intersection point from your cylinders then create 3d lines from the intersection points. The lines and intersection point should help you create a better alignment.

You should have quite large tolerances for this type of component.
