My Lower matrix isn't coming in and I'm wondering if there are any tips that can help?
Along with this the reason I'm doing a lower matrix calibration is because our CMM will run for a few days then it starts to show non-conforming parts, so we run a known good part witch came back bad, so we started with cleaning the tips, scales and table. re-ran the known good part and still bad then we moved on to normal calibration, calibrating all tips we use in all of our programs. after that we ran the part again and it still came back bad, so cleaned everything again and moved to do a lower matrix calibration. Now we are to the point where my lower matrix look like this after an attempt to run it.
Have you tried a normal calibration of just 0,0 and check the results? The amount that the X matrix is out is quite large. If possible can you provide an actual photo of the physical probe build on your CMM?
Download the "Sp600.zip" file and open the powerpoint. It isn't the same head, but in concept similar. Slide 7 and below. Refer to this for potentially any way to help you.
Thanks WillamL it looks like we are going to contact hexagon for support, but i look at the PowerPoint for farther investigation to try to understand what is going on.
