Hi All

Apologies if this is a silly question, but would anyone be able to explain what the below means in simple terms please. Thankyou.

Its for a Leitz PMM-C X Travel: 1200 mm Y Travel: 100 mm Z Travel: 600 mm

Tolerance : MPE-e + 0.60 + L / 800 um

Repeatability : MPE-p - 0.60 um

MPE is Maximum Permissible Error. This is basically the single point repeatability if you were to take the same point multiple times.

The "Tolerance" is the volumetric accuracy of the machine with L being the distance in mm. So, using the formula shown, you would add and extra 1µm for every 800mm.
