You should not be trying to adjust the measured result to get a complaint part.

you need to understand is there anything that could be causing a bad measurement or if the part is indeed out of spec.

You should check that your alignment to the part has no issues.Aare you hit points good, not hitting a burr on the part that was not deburred etc

Check the form error of the feature you are measuring to understand is it the form causing the deviation or the position. Try remeasuring with more hits to see if the form error is poor.

also check the reference feature you are measuring from too.
