Measured Dimension Exactly the Nominal is Showing up Red

When a measured dimension comes in exactly at the nominal (or exactly at one of the limits) the report puts in red. Is there anyway to change this so it shows as acceptable? I assume that the computer is rounding to tenths but before rounding the measured value is less than a tenth out of tolerance which is why its showing red.

Thank you guys

  • Hi Jegley, unless somehow it is flagging for something being out further than 4 decimal places. You can also try changing your displayprecision to 7

Are you familiar with Editing Report Labels within PC-DMIS? I'm wondering if someone modified your default label to display 0 as red. Mine show as black when nominal.

They could have also modified color settings for reporting.

If you want to try and read over the labels yourself.

You go to File > Reporting > Edit > Label Template and select LEGACY_DIMENSION.LBL

  • I put the display precision to 4 decimals intentionally because anything beyond that is not repeatable on my machine.

Im in the legacy dimensions label template now and don't see anything in here about displaying 0 as black or red. See attached pic, is there somewhere I should be going in the template editor?
