A different version of PC-DMIS is already running. Error

We recently updated our machines from 2022.1 to 2023.2. After my Inspect program has been closed or while it is left open, I click to open the Online program if I need to edit a program. However, an error notification appears as seen in screenshot. "A different version of PC-DMIS is already running. Is it safe to close this other version?". I click "Yes" but nothing further happens. The only way I know how to access the Online programming mode is by rebooting the machine and then opening the Online program mode before Inspect. Is there solution to clear this error? Our Inspect version is 2021.

This happens to us if we close PC-DMIS online version, and then open the Operator mode shortcut too quickly before PC-DMIS fully shuts down. If you run into this issue again, open Task Manager and see if "PCDLRN.exe" is still running in the details tab. I don't know much about inspect, but does it share any information through PC-DMIS in the background?

We get this every time we swap versions on our CMM from 2020R1 to R2. It never causes any issues though, just hit yes and use the tried and true process for working with the Demon of "wait patiently" and the other version will launch.
