Controller Lost Home Position

Home pulse is via a magnetic hall sensor.  it is literally traversing X- until it detects the little "N" magnet that's glued directly to the bottom of the bridge adjacent to the gold-colored readhead's scale.

If that magnet somehow got whacked, or something else that's strongly magnetic is nearby (like within a foot), it might be detecting that home pulse in the wrong spot as a result.

....yah make sure there are no magnets stuck to the sheet metal on your machine anywhere... 

That one might have made the service guy a bit angry. (woops)
