Surface point and Vector point ?

I know we should use surface points to form surface, But it looks like there is no different if you do not use sample hit for surface point between them?

Did I miss something? Any different between surface point and Vector point when we use them?New

The difference is the sample hits (or sample feature).

You can not use sample hits (or sample feature) for vector points, their vector always comes from the CAD model or manually typed in value.

When 3 sample hits (or sample feature) are used for surface points, the vector is defined by the sample plane.

A sample point without sample hits (or sample feature) behaves the same as a vector point.
