Constrained L2 math type

Guys, a new customer is requiring me to use constrained L2. I've read through the Help file and scanned through several posts on the forum. What I can't find is how to utilize it, as in where to select it as an option in 2022.2. Is this the default math type in Geo Tolerancing?

On a side note, something that would be helpful is to add a features location to the help file either through an image or something like Insert>Dimension>etc. Often times the biggest issue for me in using different options is just finding them. Just a wish list thing.

Thank you

  • GeoTol default math is CL2 (constrained least squares)

  • Is this the default math type in Geo Tolerancing?

Yes, if you have the GD&T standard set to ASME Y14.5 and you choose DEFAULT datum math, it is constrained L2.

We have contextual help in PC-DMIS, if you are working in a dialog and you press F1, it will take you to the relevant help page for that dialog.  Some of the screenshots in the help file also allow you to click on different areas of the image and they will take you to the relevant help section.  Some commands (like the geometric tolerance command) have links inside the dialog saying "click here to learn more about..." which link directly to the relevant help section.  Finally, placing your cursor on a command in the edit window and clicking F1 will also take you to the relevant help section for that command.
