I have a part that we perform several rotary scans on along a spherical radius to gather profile and radius size data. I need to reverse engineer the punch that creates this feature. We generated a CAD that uses the geometry from the part model to have something to base my scan hits against. However, when I use the same type of parameters on the punch as I do with the part, the rotary scan just keeps going around in circles, without stopping. Has anyone seen this condition?
I am not well versed in Rotary Scans. These are my settings. I tried all three nominals settings with the same issue. Remember, this is along a spherical radius and not a plane.
