Determining a required customer dimension top of constructed gage ball

I have a customer part with a cone. I have constructed a cone circle (at the center of my constructed gage ball) and a sphere circle (the tangent circle where gage ball would contact the cone).

I got the sphere diameter  idea from this posting (thank you)  Gage Ball in Cone

The customer wants the location to the top of the gage ball which I think would need variables to make it work. If I add radius of gage ball (.1") + (the difference between 'constructed cone circle height' (circle 3) & 'constructed sphere circle height' (circle4)) + (constructed cone sphere height), it should give me what they are looking for.

I think variables would work, but never having worked with them even the 'beginner' sections  from pc-dmis help or on this forum is confusing me (they didn't cover this in level 1 training) ... how do I assign the diameters to a variable "assign v1=cir3" doesn't want to work. I think my brain is missing the starting point in this OR just going about it totally wrong.
