Probe "dancing" during calibration and/or execution

With all of those extensions you have a 130mm long stylus.  Way longer than Renishaw suggests for even the extended force module (60mm max).  At that length/weight it might even be losing contact at the kinematic connection between the module and the probe body.  

You might be able to get that to work if you really reduce your acceleration, touchspeed, and movespeed.  Even if you get it to calibrate you should check the measuring accuracy against some sort of reference gauge.

I have used waaaaay too long probes with the TP20 system, but we only used them at A0B0, and validated them with a ring gage before ever trusting them.

this is where the TP2 system is vastly superior to the TP20 system.  YOU control the force of the unit, there is a tiny little screw in the 8mm thread of the TP2 and you can crank it UP or drop it down.  Longest probe I ever used on the TP2 was about 6" long, and 6mm ball probe (about an inch longer than his).  Still had to slow the old Validator down, but it calibrated and measured fine.  Luck it was only for a 'short' use project.
