Damaged CMM Machine

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some direction as to what might have caused this damage on the Z axis ram of our CMM machine at our other facility. The programmer/operator is no longer with the company so we really don't have any answers on why it happened.

Thanks

  • uuf, yeah, that is FUBAR. And, if you did manage to get it to power on and home, continued use of that machine will absolutely compound the damage and cost (if repairable at all).

Imagine that being a bent valve on a motor.  Yeah it might run with a little tick, but eventually it's going to eat the lifter up, then the cam lobe, then the engine.  Get Hexagon out to assess if it can be fixed at all, now, before it gets worse!
