Moving to New Building

We are moving to our new building soon. We are moving the CMM'S ourselves. I have all the brackets from when we got our 5.7.5. Does anyone out there have instructions on how to put them back onto the CMM? Even if its just pictures of a cmm with the brackets on it would be great help.

Thank you

Rich

  • Any time you move a CMM it's best to contract Hexagon to be on-site for the move, and conduct a calibration As-Found (before move) and As-Left (after move).

Hexagon will also make sure that the machine's shipment bracketing is properly installed.

That way you are certain the move didn't impact the calibration status of your device.

Call it cheap insurance to your boss, that you (or whoever is handling the move) doesn't fubar a $160k machine.  All it takes is one bozo to turn the wrong way, or hit a bump going too fast, with a forklift, to turn that thing into a tombstone (literally, cemeteries love buying the scrap granite!)
