I see on the PC-DMIS help center that in the setup tab for an adaptive circle or cylinder scan, the tighter the tolerance entered for location, the faster the scan, whereas the tighter the tolerance entered for form, the slower the scan. Why is this the case instead of it being the same for both?
Also, if I am scanning a hole that has 2 different tolerance ranges for size and location (say a hole size of .0625 +.0/.0005" with a location tolerance of .003"), do I enter both or do I only enter the tightest of the two? Or do I forgo entering anything at all for size and just go with location?
