Sending Textual Analysis of Profile of a Section Scan to Stats AND/OR Excel Form Report

Is there a way to get the "Report textual analysis" option for profiles to export to an excel sheet / stats file?

Most of my prints use multiple profiles, and we realized in our SPC system that the profile data is basically processed as pass/fail (only the worst point is reported).

When enabling "textual analysis" of a profile, it looks like all of the xyz / ijk data is reported along with the deviation from nominal.

What I want to do is somehow access this data and just report the "DEV" column every 10 hits of each profile.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to export this information in any way except a pdf though (and I would prefer not to have to write an external script to pull info from a pdf).

Below is an example of what the "Report Textual Analysis" checkbox looks like on the report. Ideally there would be a way to use the Excel Form Report to send out the hit data.

If anyone has any insight on this, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you

  • The easiest way is to setup a "COP" or point cloud in PC-DMIS. You can export this as a Text or IGES file. I wouldn't export all the point data in a excel format unless absolutely necessary. Although what may be more valuable/convenient is to export the MIN/MAX values of the profile. You can do this one way by creating a generic feature and inputting the "ProfileID" of your profile dimensions into the measured X column of the GF and then add .MIN or .MAX. Report the location and now you can export the data!
