PCDLRN error Message "Invalid Clipboard Format"

I am getting this error message randomly when scrolling through in the edit window it does this in Command Mode. When this happens, it freezes up the edit window and highlights features and I can't see the cursor. It does this with the newest version of PCDMIS and also 2018 r2.Dont know what it could be. Currently have windows 11. any help is verry much appreciated

  • PC-DMIS has a custom format for clipboard data along with standard types such as text or images.  Any software can setup something like this if it makes sense to do so.  So, for example, if you select part of a PC-DMIS program and press CTRL+C there is several versions of the data put on the clipboard. If you wanted to paste into notepad it would use the text version of the data but if you wanted to paste this into another PC-DMIS program the software would look for their own, custom, format and use that over any other format.  If a preferred format doesn't exist it would consider other options that could be used.

I am not sure how the custom clipboard formats are identified by PC-DMIS.  Perhaps something was copied from some other software that happened to use the identical custom format identifier (?).  Ether way, this is a PC-DMIS problem.  I sort of understand where this is coming from and it is unlikely you will be able to resolve this.

  • I was able to figure when it was happening , this is happening offline mode . It turns out I was running in admin mode . The programs have instructions in form of external object , paint brush pictures. When in admin mode it does not have the paint brush available when trying to insert external object. So any program with this will have this error . When I open PCDMIs  not in admin it’s fine and the paint brush is available in external object. How can I have this be available in admin mode?
