Is anybody running this combination? I just upgraded to WIN7. Nothing but a headache.
My arm does not want to take points in 2010. It DOES take points in QuickTools, but it is stuck on PNT1 in my PC-DMIS program. I hear the arm beep properly, problem is that PC-DMIS does not recognize the points and does not go on to PNT2. Inside PC-DMIS I can see the XYZ display run through the numbers, as I move the arm. That seems to be working. It is just not taking points. Any ideas?????
If you don't get the answer here, call technical support, I'm sure they've fielded this more than once already. I'd be pretty sure that there is a version conflict, or settings you have to use to deal with Win7. Win7 may be more stable, but it certainly causes a lot of issues too.
I had an issue where the arm would stop taking points in PCDMIS with XP and Version 4.3. Tech support had me install a different version of WINRDS. Not the same setup, but may give you an idea where to go.
Is the arm in hit point mode ?
By default Pc-Dmis starts up with "move mouse" with Win 7
This can be changed in regedit if it is the case.
Let me know and I can guide you how to change it.
"MouseOffAtStartup" the data should be changed to TRUE (default FALSE)
In my case its under HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/Wow6432Node/WAI/PC-DMIS/2010 MR3/User_AXILA
Back up and running. Something must have gone wrong with the first PCDMIS install. I uninstalled and re-installed PC-DMIS from scratch and now everything is working again.
