Have to reload Armspecs every time the arm is turned on!

Yesterday I noticed large measurement errors with the Romer arm, re-calibrated the probes with no luck (big std. dev. and errors, length checks off). Then I had to reload the armspecs and this fixed the meas/calibration errors and the length checks results came within spec. Today after turning on and homing the arm, the length check results are way off again, loaded the armspecs again and it fixed the problem, this lasts while the the arm is turned on.

Any ideas of what might be causing this?

Thanks.

  • Isn't it supposed to automatically load up the specs from a file every time the software starts?

Assuming this is true, are there duplicate armspecs files or possibly an old one in the software folders that should not be there? Broken link to the file location?

Yes, the armspecs should be loaded every time the arm is homed (I suppose), I´ll check for duplicate armspecs but I doubt it, they are from the factory (arm never recalibrated). About the broken link that you mention, is there a way to check it?

    Thanks
