I am not very experianced in the romer and was wondering is there a good way to set the datum target and then have the romer look for them and take it until it finds the target point. All my experiance is on the CMM so be nice LOL.

Look up Probe Mode Toolbar in the Help File and select Point Auto Trigger. You can use Point Auto Trigger Mode. This will allow the Romer to only take the point after it crosses a specified tolerance zone.
