Profile Measure for tooling alignment

I am attempting to measure our press brake tooling to verify the alignment (see attached image)

I am using the contact probe to measure both top tool and bottom tool. The bottom tooling is not a problem because seating the ball in the v-groove should be my center. The top tool however seems to be a bit more challenging.

I have attempted the following thus far to measure top tool centerline:
- Defined a plane on both sides of the slanted face and calculated the intersection which was not very accurate.
- Used free form scan and tried to use the point cloud to find center which was not very accurate either.

I am very new to Romer and pc-dmis so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take a plane on either side on top. Construct a plane from those two. Take a point on the front. Create 4 lines. Two in the front on the v's and two in the back on the v's. Construct intersection points from both. Create a line from those points. Create a alignment ( be in correct view for constucted plane) with Plane, Line and Point. dimension your contructed points to verify and then take points on the planes and verify ( should be equally spaced from the center) . Change view to front and then create 2D lines on the v's in the middle of tool and construct intersection point and verify. ( should be zero or very close in one axis)
