Finding nominals w/ Romer Arm

Is it possible to use a vector point and find the nominal from a cad surface w/ a Romer Arm? I can pick a point on the model, but how do I get the point taken w/ the Romer Arm to marry to the point on the Cad model

FIND NOMS ON EXECUTE (only to be used with manual machines and for off-line execution)

It's under the F5 options.
