I have 3 years experience with a B&S CNC CMM with PC DMIS CAD ++ with a TTP at my former job.
I am now using a Romer Arm with PC DMIS CAD at my new job. I just found it is capable of scanning profiles.
This seems to be a useful feature, however I have not figured out how to use it in a program to measure a complex profile combining arcs and lines that can be compared to a GD&T call out.
Any suggestions concerning how to use this in a program would be greatly appreciated.
To do profile with the arm you must have a CAD model. Set Quick Start to scan or select a scan from the insert menu and enable Find noms. Scan the surface and then the scan can be used in the Profile commands.
